he Clavia Nord Lead was the first virtual analog synthesizer and essentially started a revolution. It was releasd in 1995. The KORG Prophecy was a close second and applied physical modeling technology in addition to VA, also released in 1995. The Roland JP-8000 came out in 1996 followed by Yamaha with the AN1X and Access with the Virus in 1997. Novation followed with the Supernova in 1998 and Quasimidi with the Polymorph in 1999 although the Polymorph is more of a PCM VA hybrid which contained samples for some of it's oscillators. I remember when each came out.

Nowadays synthesizers, samplers and effects offer an incredible range of possibilities. So much power and flexibility also means many parameters to be managed. Programming the automation by hand is a possible approach to this issue, but certainly more suitable for refining a track than for creating it from scratch. The Lower Rhythm D15.2 Analog Drum Machine VSTi v1.0

D15/2 is a stereo, vintage-style analogue drum synth module (i.e. no samples). It follows standard trigger placement and is fully tunable - this means that you can alter nearly every possible parameter that defines how the drum voices sound. With a total of 16 voices (including two kick paths), global and bass drum dedicated bit crushers (one of each), two mixed output channels including a tube emulation with pre / post gain as well as a master reverb, the D15/2 lends a good level of control and variation to the analog drum concept.

           to   implement  a   step  sequencer   into  the   P8,  
           Professional or Trance-Pro  and to have  more control  
           over oscillators and tuning parameters. We decided to  
           develop a new synth based on the P8, Professional and  
           Trance-Pro  and  share the  powerful  control surface  
           from  the Performer.  The P80  features four  sixteen  
           step Sequencers, Phrase Arpeggiator and Multi-Effects  
